  • Agility Trialing has become fun again!

Though it might be because I go on Friday when most of the people who are there are also retired or work on their own schedule (and yes, I’m both).

I take distractions with me, and I’ve got things set up so that I’m physically comfortable, without having to exert a lot of effort.

Both local Friday trials were an absolute blast for me this month.

I also think that will help both dogs performance.

I did cancel a March trial but I want to spend more time working on their behavior before trialing.

    Macy is slow but accurate.

    Dulce is still a goof.

  • Dalmatian Club Weekend

    No Qs 🙁

We showed 3 days in 9 classes.  She's never been able to do that before.  She has usually shuts down on me.

1 Clean Run (Sunday's JWW — the last run)

4 out of 5 teeters and the one she couldn't get was the Open Send Teeter.  We all think it is mean to put teeters in sends.  We think 4 dogs Qed in Open.

3 Weaves — Took mother figuring out that she had to stop Macy just after the preceding obstacle to straighten her out and get her head up.

Figured out that I had to stop fussing to get her to run.

    Very valuable weekend.

Very slow – blew teeter – worked on speed.

She went on teeter, but bailed it before the pivot point.

Still slow though scruffed her. Took jump, weave, tunnel send then double. Buzzer went off before triple. At most 54 points. Like the sandwich?

Biggest issue of the day is speed and sniffing rather than paying attention.
