In fact, I’m staying home right now.  One of the reasons, is that I literally can’t walk.  Might have something to do with the 12,686 steps I took yesterday.

Started out by getting there at 7:25, finding a somewhat decent place to park and finding out that I was 4th dog in the ring.  Also not seeing any crating space.

Found a friend, asked her about leaving Dulce in the car for a few minutes, she said she had space but was saving it for someone else.  Also said that she wouldn’t leave Dulce in the car.

Now, I’ve shown there for years and crating in the parking lot (though that parking lot is gone), knew that 4th in the ring meant we’d be done in about 10 minutes from then, so went on.   Oh, and it was 60 degrees and still overcast.

I decided I didn’t have time to do anything but get Macy, run, and then decide what to do which worked out fine.

Once we did that I had plenty of time. 

Ended up crating with total strangers who were great to be around.

Honestly though, I’m not sure what was up.  One person I’ve known for years was screaming at everyone we knew.  Apparently that’s normal behavior, as they were tolerating it – she recently told me that I should crate near her because my dogs might bark.

At one moment people would be pleasant and run, a few hours later would just be no fun at all.  If it weren’t for the fact that the people I was crated around were fun, I would have thought it were me.

Anyway, I came home not able to walk any more, and in the same state this morning.  I could still go back later in the day, but we’ll see.

I spent the week helping administrating TAKS tests to high school students. This is high stakes for everyone involved.

Today I am at an agility trial. Seriously people, what happens today won't keep you from graduating from high school, won't lose you your job, or effect your funding.

Unless maybe you are the trial secretary or the club and even then, can you please make an effort to make it a fun time?

You don't need to snap at people, you don't need to snub people. Smile pleasantly and say something nice.

First, Dulce finished her first title.  Tesoros Sweet Temptation, TG1

Macy got her first G3 Q.

We didn’t get any Qs until the last games class.  Everybody made just one more mistake than could get us a Q.  But they tried really hard.

The last class was Connect the Dots, and I had a plan for each girl which would get them their points, and out for cookies.  It obviously worked!

She is now Tesoros Herald Square,  NA, NAJ, OAP,  OJP, NF, TIAD, T2

Dulce has 1 Teacup Beginner’s Q, and 2 Teacup G1 Qs.

Dulce got her first Q with a third place in Blackjack.

I counted wrong so Macy was Elimated with 22 points.

In our first standard run, Macy had 0 faults and good time. Dulce started to take off but came back. She did end up with an extra obstacle and went in the wrong end of the tunnel.

Dulce took some time getting started Standard run. Macy bailed on the teeter but didnt need the run.

The last game of the day was strategic pairs which was a blast. Macy and Dulce each Qed.

Macy has both Her Intermediate and G2 titles now .

I’m leaving the gym and a nice young man stopped me and asked if I used to teach at Hillcrest, at which I responded I was still there.  He remembered the dog I had that stapled papers.  That was Marcie.

I’ve been using Labtested Online to enter AKC trials.  I love it, they email me close to opening, I pick the dog and what classes I want to run, I send them my credit card information and I’m done.

I entered a Teacup Trial.  I had to print it out.  I had to find an envelope and address it, had to find a check and fill it out.  Then I had to find stamps and mail it.

I like the first method better.

I think.

My landscaper is doing some work on the drainage, and I think the dogs broke through under the fence where they were digging.  At least I saw Macy’s tail go under the fence.  People drove up with Macy, they saw her, picked her and brought her to the door.  It took us some time to get shoes, cookies and leashes.

Maggie was gone – she went half the way up the street according to the Tagg.

The biggest problem is that the home area is just a tad big, and it took her some time to get out of it.

Then she came right back to the house, and went up to Rich while he was working on his bike.

Was able to walk in the building and out again but when it was time to run my knee went completely out.

To start with, we had a really good Novice Fast run and got our second leg.

She got 2 refusals in Excellent Standard, fast weaves, but bobbled them.  Had a refusal for stopping and eating something in Excellent JWW (yeck).

Dulce finished two courses, but did leave the ring, but came back.  She didn’t do the obstacles in the same order the judge wanted, but we’re getting closer.
