  • A bit bummed

We didn’t Q this weekend in JWW because I’m too slow.  That was definitely proved today when Macy stayed with me the entire route and ran clean, but we were had 78 points out of 100.  To Q we needed 3 more seconds, and to get 100 points, we need 11 more seconds of time – which we WILL need for Excellent.

I’m trying but it isn’t coming fast enough for me.  It means losing weight and it means working out.

  • Love my vet’s office

Macy had a small gastro emergency last week.  I came home to a sick dog with a nasty smelling cage.  I decided to take her to the vet to ease my mind.  $300 some dollars later (thank you #VPI), I had a clean dog that was pooping normally and was almost her normal self.

Dr. Cordias called to check on her this evening, even though I had been by to pick up her tags.

And she seems back to her normal self.

  • Dulce finally weaved in public!

At the new Dog City Training Location, at the end of beginner’s agility class, I finally got Dulce to weave on weave poles that weren’t in the back yard.

Lots of people have seen very nice, fast, independent weaves in the back yard – husband, pet sitter, the odd visitor and have f0r a while.

But I haven’t been able to get her to weave at the old Dog City location or at EE’s.  (Best Friends).  It dawned on me this weekend I had not moved the weaves in the back yard at all.  So I rotated them and relocated them.  Yep, no weaves.  Put the weave guides back on, did one session with them on Sunday to build up speed again, and took them down in the middle of the session tonight.  She isn’t doing off side in public yet, but they are rough in the back yard too.

    It’s coming!

  • Dulce is being a good girl

Look closely and Dulce is under a table chewing on a chewy. Before I got up she was the corner PFC the sofa. Love that she is growing up finally.

  • Dulce is Weaving!

She actually did a small set of poles at Dog City and quit.  But tonight she is weaving in the back yard WITH no guides.  I had to put them back up when she went into heat.

    Both sides.  Very nice hopping.

  • Awesome Agility Class

I think the only thing that Dulce isn’t doing, is the weaves.  Well, she did one set of poles in class and then decided they weren’t weave poles.

I’m hopeful about the new class location, though I’ll have to drive an extra 5 minutes….

  • Evening Training

I have Dulce in Hollywood Dog Class, and we have two behaviors we are working on: knocking down and rolling a bottle and crawling.

Actually got some time to work on them last night — and while I don't have a good down, and I have beginnings of a decent crawl.

However, she got bored with the bottle thing — I think she was saying, "already know that one mom".

  • Finally a day at home for some training!

Lately I’ve been very busy in the evenings or exhausted.  Still don’t feel like I have my life back even though physical training has been over for several weeks.

Took the afternoon off after Macy’s Q, spent some lazy time on the way to the gym and when I got back, pulled out some agility equipment.

Irritating as Macy does perfect teeters at home in the back yard.  She also does beautiful weaves:  difference: mom isn’t out over the course and there is food.  Lots of lovely food (according to her).

Dulce is weaving but still has quite a few weave pole guides up.  Good news is that her brain in back.  She is also doing good teeters and contacts in the back yard.  But the contacts are very high.  We have a full sized teeter and a contact trainer.  Might still by teacup obstacle, haven’t decided.

She does a beautiful tunnel, and after some very Lucy Ricardio  tries, managed to convince her to get into the chute and through it – my goals for tomorrow’s agility class.

  • Agility–DOTC–Saturday–Fast and JWW

We’re getting a bit better at Fast.  Macy got the bonus today but not enough points to Q.  She’s really slow today and not sure how to speed her up.

We also ran clean in JWW but the buzzer went off as we were setting up for the last jump.  Again, just not sure how to get her to go faster.

Weather is a little warmer than she likes it.

We have a LONG wait for Open Standard but that’s okay, we have plenty to keep us entertained.

  • Air Card Router

Here’s the router I run in my classroom and the car, so I have internet for my wireless devices (iPod and the like).  Love it, and have had as many as 4 devices using it at once.
