{"id":23,"date":"2020-11-13T22:19:47","date_gmt":"2020-11-13T22:19:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/cs\/friday-the-13th-apple-style\/"},"modified":"2020-11-13T22:19:47","modified_gmt":"2020-11-13T22:19:47","slug":"friday-the-13th-apple-style","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/cs\/friday-the-13th-apple-style\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday the 13th &#8211; Apple Style"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I think I\u2019m happy but \u2026.<\/p>\n<p>I ordered the new iPhone 12 Pro Max and the Apple Store App showed that I was scheduled to pick it up, turn in the old phone, and get the new phone set up \u2014&gt; just like before Covid.<\/p>\n<p>I got there a few minutes before my appointment time, and there were no lines. \u00a0I wanted until just before, which was fine, since I got waited on exactly at my appointment time.<\/p>\n<p>First problem, they weren\u2019t prepared for me to do the trade in. \u00a0Now, I have had bad problems with the third party Apple uses, but no issues with trading in at the store, so I insisted. \u00a0Also, didn\u2019t want to get stuck with both phones.<\/p>\n<p>They got me a specialist but they wouldn\u2019t help me set up the phone. \u00a0Didn\u2019t even want me to open the box. \u00a0I should have stayed at the mall, but I doubt I would have gotten back in BUT the phone wasn\u2019t activated.<\/p>\n<p>I tried Apple support first, and the specialist was completely clueless. \u00a0Didn\u2019t even have a proper script.<\/p>\n<p>It had a SIM, but it wouldn\u2019t connect to AT&amp;T. \u00a0Worse yet, it took two technical support sessions to get it connected. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Now, it\u2019s not showing I have Apple Care Plus though the invoice clearly shows I do.<\/p>\n<p>ARGH! \u00a0Waiting for an Apple Specialist again.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I think I\u2019m happy but \u2026.
