{"id":313,"date":"2012-10-09T19:59:17","date_gmt":"2012-10-09T19:59:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/cs\/suspending-children-for-non-human-hair-color\/"},"modified":"2012-10-09T19:59:17","modified_gmt":"2012-10-09T19:59:17","slug":"suspending-children-for-non-human-hair-color","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/cs\/suspending-children-for-non-human-hair-color\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspending Children for Non-Human Hair Color?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Really?<\/p>\n<p>Do we really have time for that?<\/p>\n<p>One thing I\u2019ve really liked about my administrators over the years, is that we don\u2019t let clothing or hair, or earrings get in the way of the educational process.<\/p>\n<p>We reverse t-shirts, we put sweat pants on people, whatever it takes to get a distraction covered so we can get on with the school day.&#160; We put ban-daids over earrings, we have the school nurse take them out, we find a way to deal with them (don\u2019t look at me while it\u2019s in your face is one of my favorite expressions, and don\u2019t ask to go anywhere, especially the restroom.).<\/p>\n<p>I dare say I\u2019ve seen every single possible hair style and every possible hair color, from bald, to fades, to patterns, to braids, to elaborate braids, from white to black, to purple, pink, green, and multiple colors.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve ever seen a couple relatives of Cousin It (all hair).<\/p>\n<p>WHO CARES!<\/p>\n<p>Get that child in a chair and learning something.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Really?
