{"id":408,"date":"2012-01-02T12:08:39","date_gmt":"2012-01-02T12:08:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/cs\/two-of-my-good-ideas\/"},"modified":"2012-01-02T12:08:39","modified_gmt":"2012-01-02T12:08:39","slug":"two-of-my-good-ideas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/cs\/two-of-my-good-ideas\/","title":{"rendered":"Two of my good ideas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We had staff development and I said two things that were positivity acknowledged so I\u2019ll mention them here.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Always take home the positive things that happen at school and leave the bad ones behind.&#160; If nothing else, it will help YOUR attitude.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#160;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The second was about our advisory period \u2013 it would be much more effective if we kept the same subset of kids each year.&#160; I know there will be reasons we lose kids and have to add kids to the group, but if at least 50% were the same, I think it would make a difference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Advisory is a 1\/2 class period where we are supposed to be working with kids and making a different, and I think if we could build a long term relationship it would really help.&#160; <\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re doing a book study of \u201cTeaching with Poverty in Mind\u201d, and relationship building is mentioned often in that book.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had staff development and I said two things that were positivity acknowledged so I\u2019ll mention them here.
