{"id":648,"date":"2010-06-03T10:51:05","date_gmt":"2010-06-03T10:51:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/cs\/18-years\/"},"modified":"2010-06-03T10:51:05","modified_gmt":"2010-06-03T10:51:05","slug":"18-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/cs\/18-years\/","title":{"rendered":"18 Years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I just figured it out, and was pretty sure of this.&#160; I was hired at the beginning of the 1992-1993 school year and this is the end of 18 years of teaching.&#160; I think I have six more until retirement, but that depends entirely on the TRS rules.<\/p>\n<p>I have gone through 6 principals.&#160; Even more deans or associate principals of instruction.&#160; And assistant principals are too many to count.&#160; The title has changed several times through the years.&#160; One of my friends who is retiring this year after 35+ years (I think 36) reminded me today of our favorite and least favorite leaders.<\/p>\n<p>The weird part is the number of people left in the building who have taught at our school longer than I have.&#160; Not many.&#160; I&#8217;m thinking only about 3, certainly less than 5.<\/p>\n<p>And of course, some of our students were born after I started teaching.&#160; In fact MOST!<\/p>\n<p>Weird.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I just figured it out, and was pretty sure of this.&#160; I was hired at the beginning of the 1992-1993 school year and this is the end of 18 years of teaching.&#160; I think I have six more until retirement, but that depends entirely on the TRS rules.
