  • Got to love @ExpressScripts

    Got my prescriptions cards precisely on the 2nd of January.  Will need new medications shipped on the January 14th.  I’ve already got everything to @PillPack and I have full confidence they’ll get the ducks lined up.  So much nicer than dealing with it on my own.

    Don’t know if I can afford using them forever, but I can’t wait to be back with them.

    On the good side, @ExpressScripts doesn’t charge an arm and a leg for Neupro – hmmm, that makes me wonder if they have a coupon.

    And they do, and @PillPack should have it.  If not, I’ll get it on Monday.

     NORDSTROM - Shop Activewear for the New Year

    Seriously, my whole gym experience changed when I changed the way I dressed. First, one of the personal trainers at LA Fitness started being the exercise wear Nazi. Now I was wearing my big skirts with my big tshirts and hoping no one noticed me.  So I was hoping no one would get on me for what I was wearing.

    Seriously who was I kidding, I had a very cute beagle with me — and she likes to flirt with men.  Now I wear either the Zella Move Capri's and a Zella top, or a Zella top with loose pants I got at the Nordstrom Rack.  I perfer the Zella, and I love their jackets.

    Unfortunately someone ate a hole in a pocket because her mother left the jacket where she could get to it, and it was NOT Dulce.

    Anyway, I am enjoying my workouts more with nice clothing.  Give it a try.

  • Recovery – Day 1 – I hope

    Took awhile but I finally got to sleep.  We'll know better when I see a sleep doctor. 

    Woke up at 5:30 and started dumping.  It's a bariatric thing.  Not sure when it will settle down.  Plan is to go to the gym and work out. 

    Went through school email and forward some things to my department chair that effect students.

    Recovery: I'm hoping.  I spent the afternoon at my couselor's and primary care physician trying to come up with a plan.  I'm very sick — and I'm realizing the not sleeping thing is as bad as the diabetes.

    Today's plan is see the sleep doctor.

    Good news: second set of blood pressure medication arrived.

    During winter break I'd taken a rest from Express Scrips, prescription drugs and the whole mess after my endo and I had figured out our plan. 

    I have lovely system to manage my medication.  I have individual pill containers from container store, nicely labeled, that screw together and stack.  I have a two week supply and each week I fill up a week and when I see that I am going to run out of a medication I refill it. 

    I find using Medco/Express scripts system means I end up with too much medication — especially since we've had to redue dosages as I lose weight.  Especially blood pressure medicaiton.

    I skipped a week, the wrong week and ran out of blood pressure medication.  I ordered the one I was closest one AND needed doctor approval.  Got that right away, it arrived Saturday and then the landlord replaced the door on my mailbox office and no one could get to the mailbox <sigh>  The mailbox owner got into the box on Sunday — which is fine since I had medication until Sunday.  Won't be doing that again (skipping a week of managing meds).

  • Making it to the gym

    Didn’t think it would happen today but the kids dashed out when the bell rang

    My goal after the competition is to step up the cardio. My goal has been a minimum of 20 minutes and next week is 30.

    And have gotten my weight workouts in.

  • Gym for a week

    I have made it to the gym each day and have done one set of weight workouts. Starting a second set today,

    Left with the robot in good shape yesterday do next week should be good.

    Will have to miss next Saturday. 🙁

  • Upper GI

    This was the mist extensive upper GI I have had and got the most interesting results.

    It’s not that I reflux but that I don’t have the correct mobility in my esophagus.

    Band looks good, though.

  • Yes I made to the gym today

    But this is why I post my workouts.

    I love the occasionally feedback- it keeps going.

    Woke up exhausted and frustrated and griped about it on my fitness pal and it ended up on Facebook

    Too family members made comments and here I am. Weights done and on the bike.

    I have tracked my calories today and I am at the gym and on the bike and intend to get a full workout in – got my toys:

    Hotspot is on
    Zune is playing Bret Michael’s and got the noise isolating ear buds in.
    Facebooking and tweeting
    Doing some word with friends

    Anything to make the time done.

  • Status Update

    First, I was released from Physical Therapy last week, and I am just getting used to having those 4 hours back.  I’m still very stiff and have muscle pains everywhere but the right knee.

    Today is the first day I missed a workout that I didn’t have PT scheduled in the afternoon.  Just tired and had trouble waking up.  Not sure if I’ll try to make the workout up at all.  I’m just exhausted between not sleeping well before a staff development and my dog training schedule.  I have three late night classes right now, and it’s hard to wind down.  I need to schedule a nap before I go to class.

    Fit4D is a bit disappointing as it takes SO long from them to ramp up.  I finally got a strength workout from them yesterday, but haven’t had a chance to try anything.

    My biggest problem is my food issues – I’m still binging, especially when I’m tired.  The good news is that I haven’t had a food incident since Saturday night, so I might have just tried too fast. Those who read this will remember I had gotten to the point I couldn’t eat any real food and had to have an unfill from my lapband.  Still not happy with it.
