Rich and I had the same idea after work last night, get the beagle girls together at the house.

Stopped off at the apt. mailbox and there were 4 checks for us – one for packing/etc stuff, one for the house repair, one for the contents, and one for the electronics.  We’re on our way!

When I got there, our new front door was in the back of a delivery truck.  I had them put it on the back deck and signed for it.

Framing material is in the driveway.

Window has been ordered, and that might be our biggest hold up.

They started cleaning out the yard debris yesterday so that helped.

I packaged up 7 bags of 20+ year old dog books, all on how to torture your dog. Okay, there was a bunch of novels in their also.

Major purge.  I think the yard guys think they can get some money out of them, doubt it and good luck on that.

No living room now.  They bunched up all the furniture in the living room, then moved the study furniture into the living room.

And we now have a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house, but same square footage.  Weird.

We also picked out a front door.  Very different, but more light into the house and might solve some of the security issues.  Won’t stop a truck but I have a tree on order.

Also ordered security cameras, still need to get the rest of the system.  Though not sure how that is going to help as husband doesn’t get the existing security system.

My supplies came, I did talk to a supply rep this morning, but got so mad about the situation, had to end the phone call.

Cynthia is so right.  I’m in a meantime myself — I’m waiting for my house to be back and have both an attached garage, dog door and yard again.

Coping with that process has to be my focus, and my weight loss will be my meantime again.  Though I’ve also tried to live "What Not to Wear’s Motto", which is dress the body you have.

Did you know that UPS can’t figure out how to forward all packages from a damaged house to another addess?

That is fubared.

Okay, it’s actually going to work out BUT.  I’m on EzReadOrder, have had an order in the system for weeks, tried to call them and tell them that it couldn’t be delivered, and left them a message!!!!!

They didn’t call me back, and shipped it anyway.

God’s looking out for me, as it is to arrive tomorrow by 3:00 pm and I’ll be there.  Didn’t want to be there that long, but someone should probably be there to take delivery when I can’t be there.

Tomorrow is clear out debris day and get keys for my Ford Focus made day.  Found a locksmith that will do it at the house for cheaper than driving to the dealership would.

Ask me tomorrow morning.

We had meet the parent night from 4:30-6:30 and they asked us to stay a half hour after.  There were few people upstairs, no one came to see me so I took off after 7:15.  Elevator seemed to be stuck.  All the lights were on and it would open but not go to the first floor, so I stashed most of my stuff in my room.

Husband was at home so I called him and asked for him to find me some wheels, he did and brought them to the apartment.

We went to the apt pool this evening and it was nice.

Got up this morning, dogs immediately peed and let me get ready for work.  Took them for a 15 minute walk at 7:00 am, then dropped by Petsmart.  Maggie didn’t seem to care that I came by and seems content at Petsmart though she was wet.

School day went well, but I got tired during 5th period. 1 1/2 classes to go.

Mom’s check arrived which was nice of her, but we didn’t need.

Mail is finally being forwarded.  ATT has turned down the TV, and I need to turn down the rest of our services.  Back in a minute.  Darn, they did put us on vacation hold.  I’m sure they will be happy to turn it back on earlier if we get back, but I think I’ll check on it tomorrow.

I’m glad we moved out.  It was getting me down.  I do have to deal with the debris clean up and packing, probably at the end of the week.  I also think things well get done faster in the long run.

I’m glad we put Maggie in boarding, the apt wouldn’t have been right for her, but the other dogs are coping well.  No one has been banished with her.  She doesn’t seem to care either way if we visit or not.

Not win / win, but not bad considering the situation.

Well, the right place would be our house, before the drunk driver took it out.

I woke up at 5:30, which is my alarm for going to the gym.  I’m going to rethink that plan.  Got up, took girls out, they peed.  Slowly got ready for work.

Rich got up early too.

Once I was ready, I took the girls out, walked them around the park and Macy had a runny poop.  Thankfully she did it outside. 

Then I dropped by Petsmart, was barely acknowledged by Maggie, this is normal, another reason for her to be boarded.

Tonight will be a late night for me, meet the parents.

At least their twitter account is noticing.  I got up and put us at a higher speed, thinking that was part of our problem, but hasn’t helped.

I’m assuming they don’t have enough bandwidth to support the entire apartment complex, which is a shame.

Husband couldn’t watch football and had a frustrating time getting his jobs to work.  Of course, I was off doing the dog thing, so couldn’t help.

We’re in the apartment and had cable and internet installed yesterday, if you want to call it that.

Ordered 3 DVRs because no whole house DVR.  But get this, the DVR can only record if you are watching the channel?  WTF?

Seriously people.

They brought out one modem that has only a single drop, no wireless, but thankfully had my own.

But it drops constantly.

Man I miss UVERSE.
