{"id":1435,"date":"2008-05-05T00:38:39","date_gmt":"2008-05-05T00:38:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/diabetes\/no-more-cgms\/"},"modified":"2008-05-05T00:38:39","modified_gmt":"2008-05-05T00:38:39","slug":"no-more-cgms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/diabetes\/no-more-cgms\/","title":{"rendered":"No more CGMS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I don&#8217;t have any more Dexcom sensors, and I&#8217;m not in a hurry to order any more.<\/p>\n<p>They are very expensive &#8212; basically $240 a month and are a pain to keep going, even as long as 7 days.&#160; <\/p>\n<p>I might get another receiver and another set of sensors and try out the system with my own meter, but not even sure I&#8217;ll do that.&#160; Having to keep up with an insulin pump, the receiver, and my phone has proved to be too much several different days.&#160; So far, the insulin pump hasn&#8217;t gotten left behind but everything else has.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t like the insertation pain.&#160;Yeah it&#8217;s not a big deal but worse than putting in a set.<\/p>\n<p>But the biggest issue IS the cost.&#160; And even if insurance would pick it up, they are currently out of network so it would still be $120.00 a month. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I don&#8217;t have any more Dexcom sensors, and I&#8217;m not in a hurry to order any more.
