Here&#8217;s what kept me from doing it.  $35 a sensor.<\/p>\n<p>Man, that &#8216;s a lot for something that is supposed to last for 3 days.  Even lasting for 5 days, it is going to add up in a hurry.<\/p>\n<p>I think it&#8217;s wait until insurance covers it, or the sensor price goes down.<\/p>\n<p>Besides, you don&#8217;t get kisses from a continuous glucose monitoring system, nor do they win ribbons and get titles and stroke your ego.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the things I thought about getting as my summer school &#8220;toy&#8221; was the Dexcom.
