{"id":260,"date":"2016-09-20T08:45:22","date_gmt":"2016-09-20T08:45:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/diabetes\/jenny-craig-is-working\/"},"modified":"2016-09-20T08:45:22","modified_gmt":"2016-09-20T08:45:22","slug":"jenny-craig-is-working","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/diabetes\/jenny-craig-is-working\/","title":{"rendered":"Jenny Craig is working!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019ve been on Jenny Craig now for 4 weeks.&nbsp; I\u2019ve lost over 8 pounds, which puts me right where they want me \u2013 1 to 2 pounds a week.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s why it is working for me:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Portion control<\/p>\n<p>most of the foods are prepared, the ones that aren\u2019t I can\u2019t really over eat on or it doesn\u2019t matter \u2013 also the food is edible.<\/p>\n<p>A list of foods to eat<\/p>\n<p>Accountability but in a nice week<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Now I lost the first sixty pounds with the lap band,but it didn\u2019t give me any of the above, except for portion control.&nbsp; I needed the list.&nbsp; And the list has to be edible.<\/p>\n<p>I tried an outfit here in town which was a total waste.&nbsp; The accountability was very punitive \u2013 if you went off plan, they restricted you even more, and the plan made no sense?&nbsp; What no Brussel sprouts?<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve tried things like MyFitnessPal, which I still use, but didn\u2019t work for me either.&nbsp; I\u2019ve tried just pre-portioned food, again doesn\u2019t work for me.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>If you are diabetic, be aware that you have to have your doctor sign a very detailed permission slip.&nbsp; That\u2019s important, because they really do change up the carbs.&nbsp; I\u2019m taking much less insulin then before.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019ve been on Jenny Craig now for 4 weeks.&nbsp; I\u2019ve lost over 8 pounds, which puts me right where they want me \u2013 1 to 2 pounds a week.
