{"id":286,"date":"2016-05-28T20:26:10","date_gmt":"2016-05-28T20:26:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/diabetes\/home-again\/"},"modified":"2016-05-28T20:26:10","modified_gmt":"2016-05-28T20:26:10","slug":"home-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/diabetes\/home-again\/","title":{"rendered":"Home again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Didn\u2019t get around to doing much blogging on the cruise.<\/p>\n<p>While the internet was great when it was up and I could login, it was down a lot.&nbsp; Mostly when we were in or close to port.&nbsp; Oddly enough it worked really well at sea.&nbsp; Not bad when at sea is where I prefer to be.<\/p>\n<p>The lines that existed the first day went away.&nbsp; Probably as the crew learned their roles.&nbsp; We could see even in our stateroom that each day the cabin steward got a bit better at his job.<\/p>\n<p>I got a massage one day \u2013 at a reduce rate to listen to a sales pitch.&nbsp; Also got keratin treatment on my hair.&nbsp; I did buy product from them, and am really happy with the way my hair looked.&nbsp; I\u2019m used to a Brazilian blowout, which I\u2019ve already decided I\u2019m not doing again.&nbsp; This was between a hot oil treatment and the Brazilian blowout, not near as hard on my hair.&nbsp; When she got done, my color looked amazing.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Rich REALLY enjoyed the poker cruise.&nbsp; His hours were quite annoying, as I kept to my hours as much as possible.&nbsp; But since that was the reason we went on the cruise that was great.<\/p>\n<p>We saw bears on the only shore excursion tour we took.&nbsp; We had Mount Roberts tram tickets which we used, but I didn\u2019t enjoy.&nbsp; It was so crowded and so about \u201cmoney, money, money\u201d.&nbsp;&nbsp; Lovely display of an eagle by a rescue group that you got it \u2013 wanted donations, and lots of gift shops.<\/p>\n<p>All in all, we enjoyed the cruise and I\u2019m trying to decide which cruise line I want to try next \u2013 probably Norwegian.<\/p>\n<p>The trip home was hard \u2013 our plane was almost an hour late taking off, and the port itself was extremely disorganized.
