I will admit to a fear of becoming addicted since this is a chronic pain situation.  Besides I have a few errands to run today and would like to be able to drive today.  It&#8217;s a dull ache that isn&#8217;t that bad and feels better than yesterday.<\/p>\n<p> I&#8217;ll also have to be off the pain pills to go to work tomorrow. <\/p>\n<p>Getting dressed wasn&#8217;t bad, but jeans are impossible.  <\/p>\n<p>A few people around me have expressed their dismay that I&#8217;m dealing with carpal tunnel and diabetes at the same time.  Here&#8217;s the deal, I&#8217;ve been ignoring carpal tunnel for years.  I&#8217;ve been dealing with numbness and low-grade pain for a long time and had no idea it was as serious as it is.  I ignored it until I realize that the symptoms were the same as diabetic neuropathy and that I needed to make sure of what the problem was.  I had no idea it would be permanent or could get worse until I saw my surgeon.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m really looking forward to getting better.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I slept fairly well last night, though I woke up every four hours just about the time another pain pill was due.
