Doctor wants me to go that route.

But here’s the surprising part. He’s had me on Humalin R to adjust my blood sugar. I’ve been reading, especially Diabetic Solutions, which wanted patients to use a faster asking insulin.

Come to find out, my doctor didn’t know he could prescribe it! When I asked about it today — it’s the first time that I haven’t had more pressing matters, he said, that’s a really good idea, i’ll have to look it up — he did, and I have it now.

Only problem is that it looks exactly like the 75/25 mix pen. I’m going to email Lilley and suggest they go with a different colored cap, or at least make them available.

What I have done, is take a sharpie and mark the cap with my sliding scale. I have also marked it with date, since I probably won’t use a full pen in a month.

So you just have to ask questions.

Also, we’re switching from Nexxium to Protonix, since ever since I gained the insulin weight I’ve been having trouble with gastric reflux again.

[object] The moral of the story is to ASK questions.
