What are dawn phenomenon, rebound, and Somogyi effect?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I think I am having trouble with dawn phenomenon.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve had several nights when I have gone to bed about an hour after eating, and my blood sugar has been between 150-170.  it&#8217;s not good for me to go to bed that soon after eating, but I try to keep it low volume &#8212; Glucerna shake, etc &#8212; since I have GERD.  I wake up with blood sugar in the 100-120 range.<\/p>\n<p>If I go to bed low, in the 120 range, I wake up with blood sugar in the 140-160 range.  Usually after I take insulin and eat breakfast, two hours later, I&#8217;m back in the 90-110 range.<\/p>\n<p>I need to really work on this, and is one of my plans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why is my morning bg high?
