Had the shakes by the time I got home.  Good news is that I needed to eat carbs soon anyway.<\/p>\n<p>But the point of this, is pick a good gym.  I don&#8217;t think it is a good idea to work out without people around until you&#8217;ve got your diabetes stabilized and under the control.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a nice small, neighborhood gym.  It&#8217;s mostly for the employees of the company that owns the gym (they run country clubs).  Everyone who works there is very knowledgeable, both the trainers and the massage people.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve told everyone what to do if I do go too low and lose consciouness, and left glucose gel with my name on it just in case.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure you do check your blood sugar often when exercising.<\/p>\n<p>What I usually do, is work out for half of my planned time, then check my sugar.
