{"id":58,"date":"2021-02-13T13:30:03","date_gmt":"2021-02-13T13:30:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/diabetes\/weight-milestone\/"},"modified":"2021-02-13T13:30:03","modified_gmt":"2021-02-13T13:30:03","slug":"weight-milestone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/diabetes\/weight-milestone\/","title":{"rendered":"Weight Milestone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I currently see my lowest weight on my scale since 2017. \u00a0It may be lower, as it is very close to my lowest weight since Lap Band. \u00a0I got on the scale three times to see if it was really true.<\/p>\n<p>Profile by Sanford is a pretty easy plan for me. \u00a0First, it\u2019s low carb. \u00a0I\u2019ve always been able to do low carb. \u00a0Second, most of the meals are pretty easy to make.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve been doing their meal replacement shakes for breakfast which is a great substitute for my old breakfast: McDonald\u2019s Mocha.<\/p>\n<p>I use their Mocha shake and add coffee and whipped cream to it. \u00a0Taste and texture is very similar and it\u2019s been so long since I\u2019ve done that.<\/p>\n<p>Lunch has been their Pizza crust with veggies and cheese. \u00a0If I get hungry I add a salad.<\/p>\n<p>Afternoon has been their protein bar and their fiber replacement, usually jello which I made when the pizza is in the oven.<\/p>\n<p>For dinner I make us something from emeals. \u00a0One night was taco soup which Rich really like. \u00a0Most of the time he likes the meals, and I tell him he is free to eat more carbs.<\/p>\n<p>One day a week I do lunch out \u2014 usually Nicoise salad with salmon and no potatoes.<\/p>\n<p>One day a week we do take out \u2014 Chili\u2019s and I do their steak and asparagus.<\/p>\n<p>When I travel, I take my food with me, and stick to salads and Chili\u2019s steak.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s some fun stats.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve gone from 80 units of insulin a day to 8. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve been consistently losing 1-2 pounds a week. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I currently see my lowest weight on my scale since 2017. \u00a0It may be lower, as it is very close to my lowest weight since Lap Band. \u00a0I got on the scale three times to see if it was really true.
