{"id":702,"date":"2012-07-09T09:26:05","date_gmt":"2012-07-09T09:26:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/diabetes\/i-hate-traveling\/"},"modified":"2012-07-09T09:26:05","modified_gmt":"2012-07-09T09:26:05","slug":"i-hate-traveling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/diabetes\/i-hate-traveling\/","title":{"rendered":"I hate traveling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I don\u2019t do it enough, and every time I do, something happens.&#160; Especially when I fly.<\/p>\n<p>This time it started out with @TSA dumping all my items on the floor.&#160; Unfortunately nothing seems broken but I haven\u2019t opened up the two spare insulin bottle boxes.<\/p>\n<p>Once they broke three vials of insulin.&#160; Well, I dropped them and broke them because I was following their liquid rules.&#160; I don\u2019t do that any more with insulin.<\/p>\n<p>Also, when I got to the hotel, they gave me a wheelchair room.&#160; Which was very odd, as I had specifically asked for a corner king.&#160; I had paid for the extra space as I figured correctly that the room would be quieter.<\/p>\n<p>It was fixed very quickly but with a few minutes of extra concern and inconvenience.<\/p>\n<p>But I\u2019m here in California, missing my dogs and my truck and my husband.&#160; Yeah, in that order, though maybe the truck more than the dogs.&#160; Have already run into two already friends, and one new one.<\/p>\n<p>Scott Hanselman inadvertently advised me that @TSA are just people who didn\u2019t get to be real cops, and since I used to train real cops, I really DO get them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I don\u2019t do it enough, and every time I do, something happens.&#160; Especially when I fly.
