{"id":84,"date":"2020-05-05T15:36:17","date_gmt":"2020-05-05T15:36:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/diabetes\/great-endo-visit\/"},"modified":"2020-05-05T15:36:17","modified_gmt":"2020-05-05T15:36:17","slug":"great-endo-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/diabetes\/great-endo-visit\/","title":{"rendered":"Great Endo visit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fortunately my quarterly Endo visit was scheduled the day after the doctor&#39;s office opened and I could get my labs done the day before.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#39;t believe that the standards for diabetes care have changed much before and after covid.<\/p>\n<p>I did have to have my temperature checked before I came into the office. &#0160;Everyone was wearing face masks and shields. &#0160;It did make it difficult to hear my Endo because she is soft spoken.<\/p>\n<p>A1C was 6.6 &#8212; my other labs were all within range &#8212; I&#39;ve lost 4 pounds since the visit in January.<\/p>\n<p>We discussed several important things -&gt; don&#39;t go to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>We also tweaked my insulin pump. &#0160;I&#39;ve programmed it since I&#39;ve come home.<\/p>\n<p>I&#39;ll see my primary care physician next week &#8211;&gt; all my normal standard of care.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fortunately my quarterly Endo visit was scheduled the day after the doctor&#39;s office opened and I could get my labs done the day before.
