{"id":98,"date":"2019-05-09T12:26:06","date_gmt":"2019-05-09T12:26:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/diabetes\/still-here-fall-experience\/"},"modified":"2019-05-09T12:26:06","modified_gmt":"2019-05-09T12:26:06","slug":"still-here-fall-experience","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kweaver.org\/diabetes\/still-here-fall-experience\/","title":{"rendered":"Still here &#8211; Fall experience"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, the blog is still here, just haven\u2019t had a lot to say.<\/p>\n<p>I fell last Thursday. &#0160;Was cleaning, pant leg got caught on a dog cage and I went down, hard on my knee.<\/p>\n<p>One of my Facebook \/ beagle friends wanted to know why I didn\u2019t go to the ER. &#0160;Well, I have to be bleeding before I enter that particular hell.<\/p>\n<p>And bleeding uncontrollable.<\/p>\n<p>I fell in the late afternoon, it got where I couldn\u2019t walk by the time the doctor\u2019s office closed, so I waited until the next day.a<\/p>\n<p>Okay, I was hoping I would wake up and be fine, but I was worse.<\/p>\n<p>Went in, had xrays, nothing broken, an injury an orthopedic surgeon couldn\u2019t fix. &#0160;He ordered physical therapy and I had to wait until Wednesday. &#0160;<\/p>\n<p>I was slowly getting better but still wasn\u2019t walking by the time of the appointment. &#0160;<\/p>\n<p>Great visit, did a lot to help and I\u2019m walking but limited to a few steps. &#0160;Even using the rolling walker means short distances. &#0160;I still hurt.<\/p>\n<p>I didn\u2019t mention this, but I should: &#0160;husband brought me crutches and I took one look at them and realized it wasn\u2019t happening. &#0160;I sent him to Walmart for a rollator (rolling walker) and it does rock. &#0160;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, the blog is still here, just haven\u2019t had a lot to say.
