  • Rally

Why does Every one only do courses in class and why dont they teach the behavior?

I took a rally class from another instructor years ago and she taught the behaviors.

    Weird.

They sjould start with group heeling as a warm up and focus on each of the different types. Have one class on fronts for example.

  • Teacup agility

I drove 3 hours today for teacup agility today.

Waiting for scores on our first run but we were clean.

Georgetown is just of north but unfortunately rainy and cold and we’re in a horse barn. Some heat in a lobby area and in the restrooms.

I like Teacip – as you might be able to see from the picture ( it might not upload) the cpurse and obstacleS are shrunk. I really like not running so far but having trouble with tight turns.

Course times are long, another plus.

We did take Q with a 2nd place and course time of 45.09 and score of 100.

Another Standard run and a game.

    Long lunch / raffle break

I think we QeD again but man, she keep running past the obstacles or under me.

And Yes, a second Q and she is now
Tesoros Herald’s Square, NA, NAJ, TBAD

Waiting for jumpers which they count as a game.

We had one off course which costs us that Q but we had the best Q rate ever today!

  • Good classes

Macy had an absolutely fabulous night on Wednesday. It was our second class since our winter break.

She is doing weaves independently and proved it. Teeter looked nice.

Because of the weather, Dulce had her first class since break. She didnt want to listen but the other dogs had similar issues. Just not as bad, so I had to use some food to get her to work.

She did some nice serpentines but so good on rear crosses.

Nice to train with people who don’t get freaked out over a little pee.

  • We have no bone

Showed again today. Won our class – kept the major. Nice bitch won it.

We went from scrawny to chunky – chunked out during heat – and now we have muscle. Mind you that she "fills her inches" but she is just shy of 12"

She showed very well today considing that everyone including the judges were freaked out over the weather. While she was on the table the joining judges were discussing travel arrangements – but hey been wanting more table time and took advantage of it.

I start showing in agility again on Sunday – teacup – Georgetown

  • Glen Rose – January 7th

Show site — on dirt, makes it easy to the superintendent, no mats.  So dusty I couldn't see, and the atmosphere sucked all the moisture out of my contats.

Dulce showed the best she had — friend of mine saw her in the ring and thought she was having a good time.

Took first in our class, and wasn't the last dog in line for Winner's.

Nasty comment of the day:  hoping he leave you where you were, your dog makes mine look better.

  • Epiphany

Had a epiphany at my counselors this week.

Each dog I have, especially the beagles have been less trained than the previous and I think it has been because I actually have spent less time training.

I am attempting to fix that .

  • Conformation–12/19/2010

This is a video from the day after we won our point.

Didn’t go as well, not sure why.

  • Dulce’s First Conformation point

We had a fun day. She showed the best she has shown for me. We were the only 12-18 and took first place. We went back in the ring and took Winner's Bitch.

The back in the ring. The male took Beat of Winners and we got Best of Opposite Sex. There were three specials, all males.

    It was quite fun.

We had gone to Mississippi to make a major and to visit my family. My birthday is Sunday.

The major broke and two bitches who only needed majors pulled – leaving us with a single and our first point.

We will be showing tomorrow and I plan to go to Glen Rose and show both days.

My plan is to stay close to home and she what we can.
