This won’t help Type 2’s, but it might help Type 1’s.
The question that need to be answered though is
a) does it solve the problem that started diabetes in the first place? Since we don’t know why Type 1 diabetics develop it in the first place…
b) Are anti-rejection drugs better than taking insulin? Since I’m fairly stable on insulin, I’d pass, but then I’m not a Type 1 either.
It’s an interesting development though. Other countries are also on this path.

I think, she’s taken an opposite approach, but my blood sugar has been harder to control. Need to read again.

I’m a huge avocate of tight control. I feel lously if my control isn’t good. I hate that.
And how can anyone dream of a closed loop system if we can’t draw blood and guarantee that we have an accurate reading?

I haven’t said much in the blog, but my husband and I are traveling to Monte Carlo in March. He’s going to play in the European Series of Poker.
We’ve been slowing gathering things we might need — I’ve got a battery for the CPAP so I can sleep on the airplane.
I’ve got a few none health related things on my list, but the biggest thing is making sure I have a legal carry on bag so I can have everything with me.

I was 200 calories over iShapes plan again. Still less calories than I burned by a substantial amount.

One of the reasons I suspect stem cells won’t be successful is the same reason that Islet transplants haven’t been very successful. There is something ELSE going on.
After we fix the something else, the body will probably regenerate or THEN islet transplant will be successful.
