Minimed comes out with a new pump
FYI: Pump Wars are very similar in nature to Mac vs. PC wars. Remember that we are connected to our pumps 24/7, and that we become passonate about our pumps and their manufactures.

I looked at the Minimed pumps and rejected them based on reservior size right away. I use 70-100 units of insulin a day, and their smaller size wasn’t an option.

FYI: No maybe about it. Pump is MUCH perferable than injections.

I STILL love my pump!
I’ve been on my pump for 3 weeks now. I’ve spent the entire week with very close to normal blood sugars. The most I’ve been 193 and this has been a stressful week.
Parent night on Wednesday, teacher workshop on Thursday. Went through a slew of insulin to get through the three days, but did it! — was WHIPED out today.

A/C is still out
We’ve been without A/C now since Friday evening. We had it briefly on Sunday night. Can’t sleep in the bed, too hot, tried sleeping on the floor, too much reflux.
This is NOT good.
