Lapband

I’ve consistently been at the lowest weight I’ve seen in about 5 years. I’ve been shopping in my closet a lot, and I’ve been retiring a lot of clothing. I haven’t felt it physically but that’s okay.

It means I’ve lost 40 pounds since I’ve gotten my lapband. Most of it has been slow and gradual and that’s what I wanted. I know a lot of people have dramatic weight loss with it, but I didn’t really want what. The first year was hard because the people who did my fills didn’t do them right. It’s taken them going out of business to find the right people.

But looking back, even they weren’t too bad.

Here’s the thing – when I got my lapband, I was gaining 10 pounds a month. I lost some initial weight with the surgery and was keeping that weight off. Just stopping that consistent weight gain was a big thing.

I still fight the restriction some times and I still have lots of food issues, but I’m getting there.
