The controllable part always worries me.
I always feel badly for the Type 1’s, and the other people who get diabetes from an unknown cause.
Yes, I freely admit that my behavior is probably the main reason I have diabetes.
I could blame it on my doctor’s for not getting more in my face, but let’s face it, I was warned for years, and I ignored it.
But what about the Type 1’s? Very young children get diabetes. Not because of behavior, and in fact, we really don’t know why they get diabetes. They have to live a life of daily blood sticks, injections, and/or the pump.
The more diabetes is dismissed as controllable, the less effort and money spent on research.
