Doctor and I decided to leave well enough along. Depo has been my friend for about 15 years, and one of the biggest reasons I’m on it is to prevent having periods. I used to have horribly painful periods, to the point I would almost always have to go home sick. A lot of time accompanied by vomiting and other gastro intestinal problem.
We’re both afraid of the 30% reduction in dosage, and as he said, if it isn’t broke don’t fix it.

i have been on depo for 1.5 yrs and when i have cycles they last for up to 2 weeks at a time. this is still going on and i have been off for almost 8 mths and i still cant have kids. DONT TAKE THE SHOT!!!

This shot does not cause hair loss, or skin conditions, it is also a god send to many stopping periods for various reasons and helping control of raging hormones!!! This may not be for everyone, but it is noones place to say dont use it. The weight gain factor depends on the persons genetics. I have lost 30 pounds since being on the shot, no diet needed

I have been getting the shot for almost 2 yrs. If anything, I have LOST weight. The only side effect I THINK I have is a loss of sex drive, it could or could not be from the shot, I don’t know. It is great not having a period though.
