Diabetes – Short-Acting Insulin Isn’t Short for Most Type 2s

Wonder what this means for a pump user?  I actually find that Novolog works pretty well as expected, though Symlin really helps things along.

    Hi there!
A new study has found that people with obstructive sleep apnea are at increased risk of developing type II diabetes, independent of other risk factors. In obstructive sleep apnea, the upper airway narrows or collapses during sleep. There will be partial arouses throughout the night hundreds of times which disrupts your sleep.

Dr. Bernstein has been teaching type 2s for years that insulin doses over 8 units behave unpredictably and may be slower, so you should use multiple injections for larger doses.
Your pump is doing just that, isn’t it?
