Glad I waited

Diabetes Mine: Judgement Day: Disappointed

Although Amy is not quite as technology savvy as I am, I am still going to follow her lead on this. Seems that the Dexcom technology didn’t help her.

I do feel though that she is “handicapped” by sticking to shots. I still think she’ll do better on the pump. I sure have!

    Hi,
We got the Dexcom for my 5 year old daughter this summer, and I am so glad we did. It may not be impacting her A1c, but the alarms for lows are a blessing. I think the longer we have it, and once we get the software so that I can analyze the data and make changes, it will be even more useful. (Plus, our insurance covered it with no hassle and my daughter is not one that would be considered high risk.) I just wanted to say not everyone is disappointed in the new CGMS technology.
