Doctors try to get serious, but few patients understand the seriousness of diabetes or pre-diabetes. We must figure out how to work together to motivate patients. Doctors generally respond to the patient’s enthusiasm for management.
Yep — it does take two (both the doctor and the patient).
It certainly helps my motivation to know that my father and his parents all die of cardio vascular complications pretty soon after diagnosis.
