Lifemasters

My insurance company has a chronic disease management program they call Lifemasters. I’ve had two phone consultations with them so far.

So far, they seem good. Right now we seem to be in the set up mode. She verified my medications, I gave her some lab work they wanted last time, and she suggested that they send me a blood pressure monitor but will arrange for that in a few visits.

It also sounds like they might be doing some online stuff.

So far, it seems good.

I’m anxious to see how this goes for you.
I bet we’ll all start seeing more of this kind of thing, which will be good if it’s worthwhile.
    Please keep us posted! Thanks!

I actually belonged to a similar program before we went to BCBS. I really liked it. They walked me through treating a couple of lows which was very helpful.

My wife is an RN who works for Lifemasters. Hardly a week goes by that at least once she doesn’t come home say that she saved a life that day. She has the info to call their doctor, local EMS/911, or a local home health nurse to make a visit. She has ‘regulars’ who know about what time she’ll call and rearrange their schedules just to be there to talk to her. (When they aren’t home she calls back later.) If she happens to be off on a particular day, they ask for her by name.
