Lovely Graph

This is the last two weeks of TDD (total daily dosage) of Insuiln

Unfortunately I always obsess over this when I lose weight. The neat part, is that you could see a similar curve if I graphed my weight (and I should but I found it so frustrating for so long).

I’m sure it’s the combination of the fill I did on Dec 1st, the meeting with the dietician and with the other support person last month.

And the Christmas Eve illness seems to have jumpstarted things.

Graphing this is pretty cool. I should do this with my TSH, and T4 numbers. Doctor had to reduce my meds after losing 20 lbs. Of course I had to bring that to his attention. geez. I would love to see his reaction to a graph and bring it in to him! I think I will do it, just to see his face!

This is one of those diabetes things. Our doctors are into cool graphs. I could go farther than two weeks, but it isnt that useful. They are also into math blechWhat you are seeing in the graph, is the dosage, of course, but the useful part of the information is the calculations for Bolus amounts. There is a rule of 500 and a rule of 1800 that almost always works. Sometimes for me it is up or down a number, depending on my activity throughout the day.Makes it real easy to make calculations. One thing I dont have in the spreadsheet is my basal, which I should do, since Im not into sleeping right now. Were also supposed to have our basal and bolus amounts in balance I have to look it up for sure, but I think its supposed to be about 50%.However, I just play things by ear, and when I start seeing lows, I start turning my pump down, and if I have to do it a lot, I just decrease everything by 10%. Works the other way too.
