One week later…

I’ve had the IR1250 now for a week. My blood sugars are a lot more stable — which is especially nice as I have had quite a few things come up this week that DO effect blood sugar.

For example, I had a meeting that delivered some very stressful news. I ended up with a temp basal of 10% part of the day, that wasn’t working so I went to a 20% basal.

Things I like about the pump — being able to upload and download data from it. I’ve been messing with the settings this week, and it’s a lot easier.

Cartridge size is working for me. Oh, and debubbling the cartridge is going very well too. I do believe I had bubbles every cartridge change with the old pump.

If you have an IR1000, you definately want to go to the IR1250.

    Hello!
How does the pump interface with the PC? Infrared?

Yes, the pump and PC interface with infrared. They send you the hardware (serial port) and software.
I’ve used the infrared decive with a serial to USB adapter, and it works fine.
