So why am I losing weight now?

I really wish I understood it, because I don’t want it to end.

For about 4 years, I alternated struggling to exercise every day, and struggling to eat correctly everyday and just couldn’t do it. Now, most of the time it isn’t a problem.

Yeah, I had trouble with doing any cardio on Monday and today. I’d opened up a blister on the back of my foot this weekend, and while I taped it up and was able to walk on Sunday, I just couldn’t get up and do that the last two mornings.

I am confident I can tomorrow morning.

I’m actually having trouble getting enough to eat during the school days, just don’t have time. Plus I’m really burning it off, running errands and taking care of stuff.

The biggest contributer though, I think is that I have all my health problems under control. While I’m getting heart burn pain, it isn’t waking me up at night like it was. I’m sleeping most of the night, and not having trouble waking up through out the night, and most nights can even go to bed on time.

It’s good. Very good.

    Hi. I am so glad you made the choice to pump. Please go to our website (OK, I know you don’t like it, but check this out) for the real story;
http://www.theinsulinpump.com/statement/html . Our pump makes insulin pumping possible for many. We are not dangerous, and I am still perplexed about the letter, since we in fact did send in reports that were cited. We are resolving this with the FDA. Go to http://www.fda.gov and look at the MAUDE database for the true horror stories. We take great pride in our device and our mission of accessibility. No one has ever been hurt or killed by one of our pumps. We are on your team.
Feel free to call anytime. Sue Jernigan, CEO, Dana Diabecare USA 504 558-9904, or write to me at sue@theinsulinpump.com. Please keep up the good work!

I’ve seen the “real” story in insulin-pumpers chat, and I have left your post here. You do have the right to defend yourself.
If you go back in time, I might have explained why I didn’t go with Dana, if not, well:
I’m honestly not wild about the idea of medical technology from in Korea. I also don’t drive cars manufactured from Korea either. In fact, I tend to buy from American companies whenever I can. Yeah, I know they use parts used in other countries, and yeah, I know stuff is assembled there, etc. So that was one major factor.
Also, I have a pool and am hooked on Palm Pilot technology, so the Animas makes the best sense to me. In fact, I’m thinking about upgrading to the IR1200.
But the biggest decider against the Dana pump for me was the cheesy website. It was REAL cheesy a year ago, and it’s less cheesy now, but not by much.
I confess, I teach web design to high school students, and you use just about every single technique I warn against. I figure one is fine, but ALL of them …?
And hey, I hate Animas’s splash screen too, but at least once you get in, you feel like an adult designed the website.
I’m also not real wild about the domain name you guys picked, but hey, you snooze, you lose.

Have Jernigna explain, then, why she gets confidential information from each and every single pump prescribed for a Cigna patient before Medtronic or Animas or anyone else does? Have Ms. Jernigan tell all of us the true identity of “Sunny Simon,” whose name is signed to faxes in doctors offices as we speak, as the representative from Care Diabetes (http://www.carediabetes.com)–when, in fact, no Sunny Simon exists and when, in fact, Care Diabetes is really Dana Diabecare? Jerngian is a lawyer–she knows better than anyone you can’t do this kind of stuff-have your employees use fake names in conversations and faxes with doctors and patients!
And, while you are at it, why don’t you have Ms. Jernigan explain to the rest of your reading audience WHY she hasn’t payed Disetronic the thousands and thousands she owes them, or Animas, or Medtronic, or a host of other people she did business with? I’d like to read her written responses to these things.
