One of the issues I’ve been having recently is sites. I’ve had several pull out for dumb reasons. I’ve put a couple in that just flat didn’t work, just a complete set of weird circumstances designed to add to the stress.
The good news is that I’ve had 4 successful changes now in a row, and have had two sites last for 3 days each. Life is much cheaper that way, since the infusion sets run about $10.00 a piece.
I am a new Mini Med pump user. (Had a Desitronic pump for 6 years before Mini Med). I am having trouble with NO DELIVERY WARNINGS about every 2 days. The 800 support line for MINI MED states that I am using the infusion sets incorrectly, I have scare tissue,or I am tucking it into my pants and crimping the tubing, and not admitting that soemthing may be wrong with my pump or their sets. My diabetic educator says to send it back to Mini Med immediately. Has anyone else experience this problem? I have used this same type of set for years with Desitronic and know that I am using it correctly????
