First– why did I put the agility photos up and tell my readers about it. Well, it was time I outed myself a bit further, plus, I do use the dog agility to measure how I am doing health wise. Dog and I are at a plateau right now, but we are at least having a good time.
I watched Winona Judd on Oprah today. I made a special effort to see this one. I really sympathize with her. I heard my mother’s voice in Naomi, but at least I wasn’t lied to most of my life. Several times I wanted to strangle her. Winona seems to be having a much harder time with her weight — she measure her progress in her voice.
I’ve been braving the cold temperature of our pool — it’s been at 78 degrees pretty consistently. I’ve managed to get in the last three days, and burn off a bit more calories.
Insulin pump is surviving the pool nicely as is the inseratation site. I really haven’t seen any difference. Of course, I’m only in the pool for 10 minutes
You think that cold pool would wake me up, but I am still getting sleepy in the early evening.
And yeah, we have a pool. I think it’s mandatory in Texas, especially once you get to a certain price level in house. We weren’t looking for a pool when we found the house, and we’ve always had the option of pulling it — it’s an above ground pool, but so far, it’s one of our favorite spots in the summer.
Of course, it’s a huge, dirty hole in the ground in the winter, even though we have the pool guy come out weekly. I live in horror of one of the neighbor children getting in the yard and drowning in the pool, but at least ours won’t be nasty and murky if it happens.
Yeah, we have a padlock on the fence but sometimes those kiddos can be bound and determined. A few years ago, I heard of a child who was visiting someone that went through the dog door to get to the pool. Yeah, we have one of those too, but at least the kiddo would have to also dig out of the dog run. Of course, Maggie does that all the time….
