Weight Loss

I’ve just hit a place that I have only seen once before since I’ve been diagnosed with diabetes. I hit this weight in October, freaked, gained about 10 pounds, and than have struggled to get it back off.

I don’t know why it bothered me before, it isn’t now.

Hi there. I appreciate you setting up this blog and sharing your experiences. When in the world are these big Medical centers going to start taking complication/signs/symptoms of Diabetes seriously? Having personally worked first hand for Mass Gen. Hospital it was pathetic to see the actual research going on in the Diabetes Treatment Division. In fact I can recall only one study actually investigating a therapeutic treatment for Diabetics.

I am in a unique situation — in lots of ways — and there are several reasons I decided not to play the oral med game.
    1) Oral meds took WAY to long to work.
    2) Insulin has less side effects, and even less side effects if you go the pump route, as you eliminate the chemical needed to make the insulin long lacking.
There is a potential that my pancreas isn’t working now and might not work again.
