Saw a post on Twitter that deeply disturbed me: Look who else has #diabetes It’s official – we R everywhere!

I’ve removed the link because there is no indication on the website that the individual has diabetes, Type 1 or otherwise.

First, the tone is a bit congratulatory. I’m sorry, but a diagnosis of diabetes should never be treated as a celebration or a good thing. Also, I don’t think someone should be outted, unless they announce it themselves, and again, I see no indication on the website.

And if it is true, my condolences, you can make it but it isn’t always easy.
