The parking at Dallas Market Hall has been drastically reduced. Worst yet, on Thursday they wouldn’t let me use the Handicapped lot. It worked out though, because I could park fairly close and I had my ringside chair with me. That chair is great because I can keep everything I need ringside with me.
I had plenty of time, so I stopped a couple of times, sat down and caught my breath.
Friday, all the lots were full because they closed a parking lot. When I got there, I ended up having to walk several blocks. I used my walker which didn’t work well. Lola didn’t have room to sit in my lap.
Saturday I did without the walker — I got there earlier and so parking wasn’t as bad. Only had to walk the one lot.
But here’s the catch: If I park in handicapped, I don’t need my walker. If I don’t, I can’t get the walker out the car. I shared this with a friend who is in her 20’s and has POTS. She gets crap all the time from people for being young and not using a mobility device. That isn’t fair either.
Sunday, I was able to park in handicapped.
Today, I can barely walk, my knee hurts so bad and I may end up using the walker, depends on parking.
