I started getting my nails done on a regular basis this summer. Probably last spring. It's a little thing, but it does make me feel more put together, and it forces me to take a bit of a time out each week.
Also the massage chair is good.
I was going to a place within walking distance from my house, but it's dirty and the new people managing just aren't as nice as I would like. Example: the last time I visited they didn't tell me that it would be at least an hour later, I could have left and come back.
I was at the phone store and noticed that a new place was under construction called Hawaiian Nail Bar, being a Jimmy Buffet fan, it looked interesting.
They have the BEST spa chairs. Adjustable front and back, up and down. They massage good. They look easy to clean. My favorite is to have a spa pedi and manicure. Seems to save time, takes a little more than an hour.
People are REALLY nice, but you do have to remind them of things. It truly is a bar, and they give out watered down drinks, which is fine with me. I had a margaritti yesterday and the hint of lime and salt is just enough. Not equal to the margarittia I had at the Mexican place on Saturday, but fine for getting nails done.
Did I say the people are nice?
The service is okay, the receptionist is a bit flighty but they get the job done.
Highly recommended, we have about 6 in the area — I go to the one in Addison on Belt Line. My friends at school are going to try the Greenville Avenue, they do have good internet reviews.
