Nipro Diabetes Systems Recalls Amigo Pumps

Nipro Diabetes Systems is issuing a voluntary recall on the AmigoTM Insulin Pump. A thorough review by the new management team has uncovered deficiencies related to documentation in our quality systems. We are currently in the process of correcting these deficiencies and will be back on the market when this process is complete. Nipro Diabetes Systems feels very strongly about satisfying our own standards before exceeding those of our customers.

There was a rumor about this about a month ago on the Insulin Pumpers list….

This is a pump I rejected pretty early in the process as their website was goofy. Okay, maybe not the BEST reason, but if they can’t get that right, can they get the pump right?
