People look at me and don’t assume I am physically active. I don’t blame them, I would probably assume the same.
However, I do dog agility. The more physically active you are, the better it goes.
I have always liked walking as my favorite physical activity. At one point, I walked an hour a day on the treadmill before coming to work. My husband would even tell you I used my treadmill and my gym consistently unless I was really in pain.
After 5 (at least) medical professionals have told me to switch from walking on the treadmill to walking in the pool or stationary bike, I have a gym membership, and have for several weeks. I’ve been in the gym every day since I got my membership and have either walked in the pool or been on the stationary bike.
I was up to 25 minutes on Level 1 and I talked with my physical therapist yesterday and he said increase the level to strengthen my knee, and then increase my time.
So today I did 20 minutes on Level 2 and I am going work my way back up to 25 minutes this week.
Going in the morning is tough, as I have to pack everything the night before. So far, I have forgotten something I could live without each day. (Hair brush, contacts, etc.) But I’m getting there.
