My endo’s office had the most awesome CDE I’ve ever had. I miss her bad, as they didn’t replace her when she left. My favorite comment from her was when I said I couldn’t get more than 200 units from an infusion set — and she said "duh", change them.
And I’ve changed my sets at 200 units ever since. Makes it easy since Animas makes cartridges that big.
Lately, my best supporter is the dietcian at TLC Edge, as my biggest problem is that I can’t eat everything on my plate. I’m having to give myself insulin after I eat, and I would guess that I forget one at least once a day.
In fact, my A1C is at its highest, 9!
So yes, I really need a supporter.
